Tracking personal well being using a Health Analytics Application {ezHealth} : Inspirational Sources

  • Apple Watch (Hardware): With the launch of the apple watch, the way were tracking stuff changed completely. The watch does not only track time but also has sensors that can track a user’s pulse, run an ECG, irregular rhythms, etc. The heath data can be easily synced between multiple platforms and can help the user track their personal well being. For this project, the apple watch data syncs continuously to iCloud. An integration with iCloud can be done where the app’s {eZHealth} API can actively retrieve that data.
  • Digital Thermometer (Hardware): Digital thermometers are the most common household item that can be found in any person’s home. People often use them when they are sick to check their body temperatures. Some of the modern digital thermometers have the capability to transfer data via bluetooth to a mobile device. In this case, the bluetooth enabled thermometer will transfer the readings to the app {ezHealth}. In case the thermometer does not have a bluetooth, the data can be entered manually via the app.
  • Glucometer (Hardware): Glucometers are really useful to do a self check on blood glucose levels and to track them. Some of the modern glucometers have the capability to transfer data via bluetooth to a mobile device. In this case, the bluetooth enabled glucometer will transfer the readings to the app {ezHealth}. In case the glucometer does not have a bluetooth, the data can be entered manually via the app.
  • Health Reports (Software/Records): Health records can significantly impact a user’s healthcare as previous health records are useful in telling a person’s medical history. Healthcare records can be present digitally or can be in the form of paper reports. In this case, the user can directly import the health records by uploading them online if they are digital or can take pictures of them by the mobile app {eZHealth} that can parse all the records and convert them to digital records.
  • Eating Habits: Our health depends on what we eat and the food choices we make. Tracking our eating habits can be effective in improving our over all health . In this case, the eating habits can be entered manually in the app {eZHealth}. The app would convert the different meals and do a conversion in calorie count intake and also keep a track of healthy eating habits.
  • Workouts & Physical Activity: Staying active and doing any form of physical activity can significantly impact a person’s health. Workouts and Physical activity can be logged using devices like fit bit and apple watch, etc. They can also be logged in other Workout focused apps like MyFitnessPal etc. In this case, having an integration with the third party workout apps and the healthcare app {eZHealth} will help track the total amount of daily calories that the user burnt on a given day.
  • Meditation: Using meditation techniques helps in calming down our bodies and relieves stress. Meditation sessions can be logged through the healthcare app {eZHealth} that will help track the total amount of daily minutes that the user meditated.
  • Sleep Cycles: Getting a good night sleep also helps us keeping active and relieves stress. There are a lot of third party sleep tracking apps that can help track our sleep cycles and check for any irregularities in our sleeping patterns that we cannot notice manually. In this case, having an integration with the third party workout apps and the healthcare app {eZHealth} will help track the sleep cycles and help in getting a holistic picture of a user.
